The Snuza HeroMD Breathing Monitor is a medical device designed to detect any interruption in baby’s breathing. This baby breathing monitor aims to offer every parent the opportunity for an early intervention.
The fully portable breathing monitor clips easily onto your little one’s nappy and requires no cords, no wires, no sensor pads and no external power source. The Snuza HeroMD Breathing Monitor detects the slightest abdominal movements that come with your baby’s breaths. If these movements are very weak or fall to less than 8 per minute, HeroMD will intervene.
If no movement is detected for a period of 15 seconds, the Snuza HeroMD Breathing Monitor will vibrate gently in an attempt to rouse baby. Often, this vibration is enough. However, if the monitor detects no movement for a further 5 seconds after a vibration HeroMD will immediately alert you with an audible alarm. If there are 3 vibration/rouse incidents, you will be alerted.
A gentle clicker sound lets you know that thenuza HeroMD is on and movement-rate indicator lights warn you about weak or infrequent movement.
The Snuza® HeroMD can pick up external movements and is therefore not suitable for co-sleeping. Using the Snuza® HeroMD when baby is in motion, e.g. in a car seat or a stroller, is inadvisable.
